Guidance on using SMTP server for Local Mail Testing in PHP

I tried understanding documentation multiple times, even experimented with different things said there but still unable to get it working.
I'm currently using mailtrap for live and SMTP4Dev for local testing. and now since I found this All in One tool. I want to implement this to eliminate alternatives.

I have the following keys to fill in my PHP .env, but doc is so advanced level that getting these values sorted is like a puzzle to me right now.

MAIL_USERNAME=
MAIL_PASSWORD=
MAIL_FROM_ADDRESS="dummysender@example.com"
