Looking for a basic beginning template that I can add to. Or, point me in the direction where I could find one. I see so many in this list and can't seem to see what I need.

I'm quite sorry. I really don't know. I'd like to see meta data.
Can I use a template that is not in English (I'm in the USA). Should I translate it, given syntax issues with code, will there be issues?

I see some templates pull in headers, and I enter information into the note, but others pull in data. ie metadata.

Don't worry about the format - the template can be written in Markdown. Also there are formatting tools in the template editor.

For metadata from the item (I suppose), most frequently used fields are available in the snippets below the editor.

For more fields, you can either ask GPT or check the docs

You are always "allowed" to use any template in any language, though. But basically I think it's easier to write what you want from scratch, especially with the help of GPT
