How to use .srt file for captions and transcript?

I tried to add .srt file as captions for transcripts and it raising an error saying that "Malformed WebVtt Signature". Can someone tell me is it possible to use .srt files as transcript sources.

Srt is not supported anymore by videojs.
Therefore it cannot be used anymore, however the conversion to vtt shouldn't be to difficult normally ;)

You need to convert the .srt file to .vtt
