I want to retrieve information for a single user based on a name (not a substring) or an id - is this possible?

You can find users by ids
RubyStackoverflow.users_by_ids([ids], options = {})

For example
response = RubyStackoverflow.users_by_ids(['1363236'])
response.data.first.display_name
