Scaling up mesa to large agent populations?

I couldn't find it anywhere, but I was wondering how mesa scales. Would it be able to handle models with 10^6 or even 10^8 agents?

I'm currently looking into doing this for a relatively complex model and want to be able to generalise my scaling approach is much as possible. So a framework might be really beneficial!

Thank you! I will have a look at this. The initial plots suggest reasonable timeframes for my large population :)
