When using Azure AI Search, openwebui does not show citations/sources

Describe the bug

I am using Azure AI and configured an Azure Search Index for knowledge. Querying the Index works fine and the responses are as expected. The responses also include sources in the text, e.g. [doc1],[doc2],[doc3].

However, the sources are not shown as you'd expect incl a preview of the content etc.

Azure AI responds with sources (citations), so I am not sure if this is a problem in this function or in openwebui in general.

Steps to reproduce

• connect to azure ai
• setup an azure search index
• query the model
