zlib dependency undocumented

No mention of zlib on: https://adios2.readthedocs.io/en/latest/setting_up/setting_up.html#cmake-options

Even though you do search for zlib:

-- Found ZLIB: /usr/lib64/libz.so (found version "1.2.7")

but I have a more modern zlib in my PGK_CONFIG_PATH. How do I make it be discovered?

ZLib and sqlite3 are used as part of ADIOS campaign support, which isn't complete / documented, so yes, pieces are missing. Generally I would make sure that the location of zlib.pc is the directory that's in PKG_CONFIG_PATH and that 'pkg-config -path zlib' shows what you expect it to show.

Are you sure that pkg-config -path is a legit query? Querying --libs does give the right path and library name:

[staff adios2:81] pkg-config --libs zlib
-L/work2/00434/eijkhout/zlib/installation-zlib-1.3.1-clx-intel24.1/lib -lz
[staff adios2:82] ls /work2/00434/eijkhout/zlib/installation-zlib-1.3.1-clx-intel24.1/lib

yet this is not picked up.
