How to install without Home Manager

I don't use Home Manager, I would like to install without it. It is possible?

Install the nvchad package is ok.

OK, I was to set up. I had difficulties because I did know about specialArgs.

Now, I would like to install Catppuccin. But I don't understand the instructions and the Lua files I am adding to ~/.config/nvim seem to be ignored. I am new to nvim.

What should I do to customize my installation?

Well, I found it too hard. I installed AstroVim instead. It was much easier.
