Source and latest binary do not match

Looks like the binary in 2.5.3 release does not match the source code. It looks like the code hasn't been updated since the December 2023 release in this repo even though the release notes talks about some fixes. I am not sure if this project is actively maintained but please can you take a look and may be push the changes?
